T.C. (Theodore Caspar) Lutz, His Role as the Central Contractor in the Building of the Key Maritime Settings for the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair with Tom Lutz
Tom Lutz will explain how T.C. Lutz began his career fishing commercially with his brothers and father at the fishing settlement at Pine Grove (now the site of the Kohler-Andrae State Park) and out of Sheboygan, then how he turned that into one the leading fishing fleets out of Lake Michigan in the 19th century, then how he turned that into one of the greatest maritime contracting experiences for the 1893 World’s Fair, and ultimately how he turned that into co-founding the nation’s greatest maritime construction company.
