Will be Rescheduled – Land Records
Will be rescheduled for a later date – No genealogy class for January.
Land records are some of the most underutilized, yet most useful, records available in genealogy. Often, they are the only records which state a direct relationship between family members. They can also be used to prove relationships indirectly by studying the land laws in force at the time.
There are four different types of land records that can play a vital role in your family history research, Land Deeds, Land Grants and Patents, Mortgages and Tax Records. We’ll take a closer look at what they are and how to use them.
This class runs from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at the Research Center, 518 Water Street, Sheboygan Falls. Cost per class is $15.00 for members, $20.00 for non-members. Please call 920.467.4667 to register. This class is open to the public.
