The Story of Cream City Brick

The Story of Cream City Brick

What makes Cream City bricks so unique? Join Steve Stuckey, former Architectural Conservator of George Washington’s Mount Vernon home and current Executive Director of the Tower Heritage Center (Washington County Historical Society), as he dives into the history and materials of Cream City bricks.

This exciting session details how our beloved bricks were traditionally made, the reasons behind the color, and how they differ from other types of bricks. Buildings with these gems are steadily vanishing, so this talk will connect the importance of saving this material. There will be fabulous images of Cream City and other historically significant brick buildings and lots of energy! So don’t miss out!
