History on the Move – The 1928 Torke Bombings

History on the Move – The 1928 Torke Bombings

Dan Buckman, president of the Plymouth Historical Society, will entertain and enlighten you with the crazy story of the Torke Bombings that took place on Thursday, October 11, 1928, and Tuesday, November 13, 1928 when explosions rocked Plymouth. The Torke building once stood on the southeast side of the intersection of North, Eastern and Mill Streets in Plymouth.

Professional bombers attempted to wreck the Torke Brothers building twice in order to damage the David Adler Clothing Company. Adler was a men’s clothing company based in Milwaukee.

There was so much to this story and that interesting building. You will enjoy it.
