Genealogy 101 presented by the Plymouth Public Library

Genealogy is one of the fastest growing hobbies in the United States. According to some experts, nearly 75% of Americans are interested in discovering their family history. We can help you start your genealogy journey.

The Plymouth Public Library presents Genealogy 101 on Thursday, June 23 from 1:00pm to 2:30pm at the Plymouth Public Library, 130 Division Street, Plymouth. Beth Dippel from the Sheboygan County Historical Research Center will be the instructor.

In this course, we will present tips and strategies for beginning the process of constructing your family tree. In addition to describing the various record (birth, marriage, death, obituaries and census records) and sources available for finding information, we will help you to understand some basic genealogy terms and tools. We’ll also answer questions you might have.

This presentation is free and open to the public. We hope to see you there. Please call (920) 892-4416 for more information.
