SUMMARY:Land Records
DESCRIPTION:Land records can tell a researcher so much – location, dates of purchase and sale which closely corroborates with when our ancestors arrived or left for new parts of the country.  Sometimes we’re lucky enough to find a will or a listing of family members in a probate sale.  These records hold a ton of great info.  We’ll also learn how to read property descriptions and try to clear up towns, ranges, sections and quarters measured by miles, chains, rods, etc.\n
