SUMMARY:Saloon Stories – When Milwaukee Went Dry
DESCRIPTION:Matthew Prigge, author, speaker, historian and public librarian will tell tales of Milwaukee during Prohibition.\nThe gist of the story during Prohibition — when the Cream City had to find less-than-legal means to keep the party going. Milwaukee didn’t stop drinking during Prohibition, but residents had to get awfully creative about how they got their fix.\nPrigge has written five books as well as articles for the Shepherd Express and Milwaukee Magazine and will offer a lively program with lots of photos.\n
